The 2008 Spring Exploration Program
Onsite transport of crews and moving equipment is via an onsite helicopter and snowmobiles. An ice spur road was constructed off the main winter road. Several loads of fuel and supplies for the current and proposed summer program were trucked to site.
Rig Mobilization - April 20, 2008
The spring 2008 drill program concentrated on drill testing as many targets as possible from the approximately 40 untested priority anomalies picked for potential kimberlites. Targets materialized from numerous dogmag, ground magnetometer and airborne geophysics conducted plus various summers till sample programs for indicator minerals. Drilling first tested water-based anomalies in the northeast portion of the claim block.
Data collected and assessed from current ground geophysical surveys over targets significantly helps to pinpoint drill sight setups and target locations. Additional airborne geophysics was also completed to further identify and study targets. (see news release May 22, 2008.)
